Ett nytt försök / A new try

För ett slag sen gjorde jag ett försök med en liten omlottkofta, alldeles efter eget huvud. Det blev inte nån höjdare, men jag kunde inte släppa idén. Nu har den mognat och jag gör ett nytt försök, lite annorlunda och om stickgudarna är med mej kanske det kan bli något så småningom.

A while ago I made an attempt with a small wrap cardigan, just after my own head. It was not a big shot, but I couldn’t drop the idea. Now it has matured and I will give it a try again, in a little different way. If the knitting gods are with me maybe it could be something out of it eventually.






Nåt lite snabbare är alltid kul att sticka emellan med, nu har jag gjort ett par booties och har ett andra par på gång. Garnet är Debbie Bliss Rialto, jättemjukt och skönt, och mönstret är Ruth’s Perfect Baby Booties. Så jätteperfekta tyckte jag nog inte att de var, de skulle sys ihop i bak- och underkant. Nej, då är jag mer förtjust i de jag håller på med nu, Seamless Baby Booties. Inte ett stygn att sy, det kallar jag perfekt!


Something a bit faster is always fun to now and then, so now I have done a pair of booties and a second pair is on its way. The yarn is Debbie Bliss Rialto, really soft and nice, and the pattern is Ruth's Perfect Baby Booties. May be not that perfect, they have to be sewn together in the back and bottom. No, I am more fond of the ones I’m doing now, Seamless Baby Booties. Not a stitch to sew, that’s what I call perfect!





Dessutom jobbar jag vidare med den lilla babyfilten jag teststickar åt Lynne Dowe, Mountain View. Den gör jag i Marks & Kattens Karusell, ett ljuvligt mjukt garn. Har gjort ungefär 25% vid det här laget.

Furthermore I'm working on the little baby blanket I test knit for Lynne Dowe, Mountain View. I do it with Marks & Kattens Karusell, a lovely soft yarn. I have done about 25% by now.





En liten babytröja har jag också fått klar nu. Det är The Basic Baby Pullover som jag stickade i Wendy DK with wool.

Och så har jag ju alldeles glömt visa bild på mössan jag teststickade åt Kim Haesemeyer för ett slag sen. Lite liten är den, och kanske inte precis en modell som jag skulle välja till mej själv, men jag skulle kunna tänka mej att den kan passa Alex. Känns garnet igen? Jovisst är det samma som till bootiesarna. Och det ljusa garnet är det jag använder till det pågående paret.


And I just realized that I have forgotten to show the hat I test knitted for Kim Haesemeyer a while ago. It is a bit small, and maybe not exactly the model that I would choose for myself, but I can imagine that it will fit Alex. Do you recognize the yarn? Yes, it is the same as for the booties. And the bright yarn is what I use for the current pair.
