Det äldsta som sakta men säkert närmar sej sin fullbordan är Nalle Puh. En sån seg rackare! Men nu är det bara armarna och en tröja kvar, jo och så ska den sys ihop. Inget jag ser fram emot, men mönstret är så klurigt så jag har aldrig vetat riktigt på vilken ledd de olika bitarna är tänkta, och har därför inte vågat sticka dem runt. Mycket märkliga delar, men förhoppningsvis löser det sej så småningom.
It’s a lot now - again! I knit and knit, but don’t seem to get any time to write about it. It is long since I reported something here, I’m sorry t admit.
The oldest project on my needles, which slowly but surely approaching towards completion is Winnie the Pooh. Such a tough one to crack! But now it's just his arms and a sweater left, and yes, the parts has to be sewn as well. Nothing I look forward to, but the pattern is so strange, so I never really knew what how the different pieces are designed, and therefore has not dared to knit them in the round. Very strange parts, but hopefully it will be ok eventually.
För att komplettera menageriet har jag dessutom börjat på en annan liten nalle, Balder, denna dock ur eget fatabur. Huvudlös är den än, det visade sej lite klurigt att få ihop nosen som jag tänkt, men kanske om stickgudarna är mej nådig blir det något av den.
To complement the menagerie I have also started with another little teddy bear, Balder, an idea of my own. So far he is headless, it is a bit tricky to get up the nose. It’s harder than I thought, but maybe the Knitting Gods are gracious to me, and hopefully it will be something out of it in the end.
En babyfilt är också på gång, ca 75 % gjord och så har garnet tagit slut. Detta visste jag på ett tidigt stadium, eftersom jag ändrade mej vad gäller storleken nästan direkt efter jag köpt garnet. Men vadå, det skulle väl inte vara några svårigheter att få tag i mer? Gick ner till garnaffären där jag köpt det första lasset, men se det visade sej att jag då köpt vad som fanns hemma. Men inga problem, det skulle beställas hem, komma om ett par veckor. Lysande. Gick glatt iväg efter lämplig tid för att inhandla nödvändiga och förhoppningsvis hemkomna nystan. Hm, affären stängd på grund av omfattande och hastigt påkomna reparationer, tillfällig flytt skulle ske till annan lokal, öppnas snart … Undrar när Snart infaller?
A baby blanket is also on its way, about 75% done, but now I have run out of yarn. I knew that at an early stage, because I changed my mind about the size almost immediately after I bought the yarn. But so what, it couldn’t be any difficulties in obtaining more? So I went down to the yarn shop where I bought the first load, but there I was told I had got the last balls. But no problem, it would be ordered and come in a couple of weeks time. Brilliant. Went away happy after the appropriate time to purchase the necessary extra balls. Hm, the store was closed due to massive and sudden repairs, and would temporary open at another location, Will Open Soon ... I wonder when Soon will come?
En annan filt håller också på att bli till, En-ruta-per-månad KAL på Ravelry. Har just fått mönstret till den andra.

Ja, och så är det förstås ekorrtröjan till Alex, den som jag för ett slag sen stolt skrev att jag var klar med kropp och ärmar och redo att börja mönsteroket. Pyttsan, vad jag bedrog mej. Hur blind kan man bli? Tydligen hur blind som helst, alternativt är jag utrustad med ett väldigt selektivt seende och ser bara det jag vill se. Men till slut var jag bara tvungen att inse att jag läst fel vad gäller masktätheten. Min efter konstens alla regler färdigställda provlapp hade ett perfekt maskantal av 20 maskor per 10 cm. Det var bara den lilla detaljen att det skulle ha varit 22! Exakt 10 cm för vid blev den, alltså inget att be för, bara att bryta ihop och komma igen eller med andra ord repa upp och börja om från början. Nu är ett betydligt smalare – väl kollad! – liv färdigt och står just i begrepp att börja med ärmarna.
And of course the squirrel sweater for Alex, which I a while ago proudly said I was finished with the body and sleeves and ready for the stranded yoke. What a joke! How blind can you be? Apparently I am equipped with a very selective sight and only see what I want to see. But in the end, I just had to realize that I had read the gauge instructions as You-know-who reads the Bible. My after the rulebook completed swatch had a perfect number of 20 stitches per 10 cm. It was just the little detail that it should have been 22! Exactly 10 cm too much all together, therefore nothing to ask for, just to break down and come back, or in other words unravel and start all over again. Now it is much narrower - well checked out! – the body is finished and is just about to start with the sleeves.
En väst till Johanna (kompisarna Soile och Kaukos dotter) har jag börjat med också, en med ett flätmönster tjusigt i midjan åtsmitande sak. Tyckte den verkade kul att göra, och som så många andra gånger är det det som styr vad jag gör, sen försöker jag hitta någon lämplig mottagare. Själv är jag ingen västmänniska, och både Karin och Helene är i rundaste laget för dylika skapelser. Alltså gick tankarna osökt till smala Johanna, det var dessutom väldigt länge sen hon fick något. Satte glatt igång och fick två dagar senare veta att även där förväntas midjan försvinna mer och mer ett slag framöver. Nu vill det till att gasa på, så att den blir klar medan det fortvarande finns någon form av lämplig inbuktning kvar. Fast det blir ju andra tider så småningom, så det värsta som kan hända – ja, bortsett från att hon inte vill/kan ha den överhuvudtaget – är att den blir liggande ett slag.
A vest for Johanna (Our dear friend Soile’s and Kauko’s daughter), is on its way as well, with a flashy cabled waist with a lot of negative ease. Thought it looked fun to do, and like so many other times it is the way I choose what to do, then I try to find a suitable recipient. I am no vest fan, and both Karen and Helene are a bit too waist less at the moment for such creations. So my thoughts went automatically to thin but curvy Johanna, it was anyhow a very long time since she got something. Started happily with it and two days later got the news that even for her the waist is expected to disappear more and more for the coming months. Now I try to hurry with it, may be it will be time for her to at least try it on before it will be too narrow. But it will come other times eventually, so the worst that could happen - well, except that she does not want to/can use it at all - is that it will lie around for a while before it will fits again.
Fast alla dessa pockande projekt gör mej alldeles yr, gör några varv här och några varv där, och så kommer beslutsångesten om vad som ska få min uppmärksamhet därefter. Och så kan man ju inte ha det! Måste tänka på nerverna också. Alltså stickade jag en mössa till, klart på ett par timmar, synnerligen tillfredsställande. Stickad den av Drops Cotton Viscose, som jag hade fyra nystan i olika färger just med tanke på att göra mössor av. Men så kom jag på att det kunde vara kul att göra en kofta med de olika färgerna blandade. En sån lysande idé! Var alltså tvungen att se hur det skulle bli, och det var vad gårdagen ägnades åt, medan jag funderade på vilket garn jag ska använda till västen Jan vill ha. Tror jag har bestämt mej nu, och ska börja med den i kväll.
Hur många WIP blir det? Vågar inte räkna efter. Däremot funderar jag starkt på att börja på en Baktus till Karin. Tror att det är precis en sån modell hon efterlyste förra vintern. Eller en sådan här cape …
Snacka om Startitis!
But to be true, all those projects makes me quite dizzy, I make a few rows here and a few rows there, thinking about what to get my attention to next. And so you just can’t have it! Need to think of my nerves, too. So I started with a baby hat, finished in a couple of hours, very satisfactory. Knitted it with Drop’s Cotton Viscose, which I had four balls in different colours, with the intention to make hats of. But then I thought it might be nice to make a jacket with the colours mixed. What a brilliant idea! Couldn’t wait to see what would happen, and that's what yesterday was spent with, while I pondered on which yarn I should use for the vest Jan wants to have. I think I have made up my mind, and will begin this evening.
How many WIPs will that be? Dare not to count. On the other hand I am thinking strongly about making a Baktus to Karin. Think it is just such a model she asked for last winter. Or this kind of capelet ...

jag vågar inte heller räkna hur månag wips du gar på gång, blev alldeles matt när jag läse om allt du har på gång. Jag blir bara såå imponerad av allt babyfilten ser aldeles underbar ut, hoppas att det ger sig med garnet snarast! Förresten hur fick du septemberrutan till lapptäcket. jab blev så inspirerad när jag läste om det i en tidigare blogpost så jag annmälde mig omedelbums och fick den först rutan per mail medn nån septemberruta har ännu inte dykt upp.
Åh... här flödar kreativiteten! :-) Vilka härliga stickprojekt du har på gång. Inte dåligt.

tack för hjälpen med att hitta septeber-rutan. Jag har loakliserat den på Ravelry nu. Väntar bara på att rätt garn ska uppenbara sig för mig. Jag köper garn till denna så jag får fundera lite till på färgsättning och sånt. Fast de lutar nog åt Alaska eller möjligen Karisma.
What a lovely group of projects! The baby blanket looks very sweet. And I can't wait to see how the currently "headless" Teddy Bear comes out....as well as Winnie the Pooh! Just think of all the completed projects you'll have once these items are finished!
