Julaftonskänsla / Christmas feeling

Denna dag är precis som julafton var när jag var barn. Låååååång, väldigt lång i väntan på vad som komma skall. I detta fall gäller väntan våra favoritkillar Alex och Tristan. Snart ska de – tillsammans med nästan lika efterlängtade föräldrar, naturligtvis – ge sej iväg på den långa, dryga resan från London till Trollhättan. Halv tio i kväll ska jag möta dem vid flyget, det är tio timmars väntan. Inte för att jag saknar sysselsättning under tiden, en hel del ska fixas och donas med innan de kommer, men ändå … Vill att de ska vara här nu!

Today is just like Christmas Eve when I was a child. Loooooooooong, very long in anticipation of what is to come. In this case waiting for our favourite guys Alex and Tristan. Soon, they will - with their almost as eagerly awaited parents – leave home for the long lasting journey from London to Trollhättan. I will meet them at the air port at half past nine, it's ten hours of waiting! Not that I don’t have anything to do in the meantime, it’s a lot to fix before they come, but still ... I want them to be here now!







Under tiden kan jag ju visa tröjan jag teststickat åt Tot Topper. Mönstret är släppt så det är fritt fram att visa den nu. Det var en jättekul stickning, gjorde faktiskt varsin till Alex och Tristan. Fast förhoppningsvis ska de inte behöva användas än på ett slag, de får gärna vänta tills hösten.

In the meantime I can show the sweater I have test knit for Tot Topper. The pattern is released now so I’m free to show it now. It was a lovely knitting, so I made one each for Alex and Tristan. But indeed I hope they not have to be used for quite a while, it will hopefully wait until autumn.






En liten klänning till Poppy håller på att växa fram också, men den får nog ligga till sej de här veckorna vi har besök. Det är i och för sig inget jättekomplicerat spetsmönster, men hålen ska dock komma i god ordning utan sidosprång så det är ingen bra sällskapsstickning. Det får allt bli enklare saker som får hänga med den här tiden.

A small dress for Poppy is growing, too, but it may rest for the coming weeks when we have our visitors here. It is not a complicated lace pattern, but the holes should be placed in good order without side-stepping so it's not a good social knitting.


Nu kanske det blir lite si och så med bloggandet de kommande två veckorna, men nåt kanske det kan bli om än troligtvis inte särskilt stickrelaterat.

Önskar er alla en riktigt härlig, varm och solig och underbar midsommar! För visst kommer den att bli varm och solig??? Vi som ska dansa runt stången och sjunga om grodorna och allt möjligt som vare sig David eller Alex varit med om förr.


Now it maybe will be a little this and that with blogging the next two weeks, but perhaps it could be something, even if it probably not will be very knitting-related.

I wish you all a wonderful, warm and sunny Midsummer! It will be warm and sunny, won’t it??? We really keep our finger crossed, because we will dance around the Midsummer Pole and sing about the small frogs and all sorts of things that either David or Alex has done before. For those of you who do not understand how important the weather is at Midsummer, I can assure you that this holiday is among the most important we have here - for many it’s more important than Christmas - and all the celebration should preferably take place outdoors.
